This is a significant release, with many performance upgrades.
New setting "Loop video playback" to allow endless playback of video file.
You can now edit metadata for multiple files (this feature requires Full Version Purchase). Go into Contact Sheet mode, select the files you want to modify, and then press command-M to open the "Edit Metadata" panel. This will retrieve the metadata on the selected files. Field with multiple values will be shown as "+++ multiple values +++". If you do not type over this field, the values will be unchanged when you click the Save button. But if you typed over any field containing "+++ multiple values +++" with a new value, all the files will be modified with the new value after you clicked the Save button.
There is a new menu item for 200% Zoom. The shortcut key is G. There is a hidden shortcut key D for replicating 50% Zoom. This is done by emulating the control-5 shortcut key for performing 50% Zoom. The system will ask you to give permission for Accessibility in System Preferences in order for the shortcut key D to work.
The thumbnail engine has been completely overhauled to provide unprecedented speed when opening new folders with large number of images. It first loads the low-res thumbnails embedded in the JPEG files and then proceed to generate the high-res thumbnail in the background. Thumbnails now appear very quickly even on mechanical HDDs and network folders.
The File System Event handlers have been centralized and rewritten, hopefully, getting rid of some of the issues some users see on their systems.
To organize menu items a little bit better, the GPS menu items are now grouped under the EXIF Toolbox menu.
LibRaw has been updated to version 0.20, adding RAW files decoding support for many new cameras.
ExifTool has been updated to version 12.03.
Many bugs have been squashed, so the app is even more robust than before.
We hope you enjoy all the new features in this version!
